What Can I Expect From a Reiki Session?
A reiki session takes place in a relaxing atmosphere. At the beginning of the session we will have a small chat, I will explain to you what reiki is and the hand positions we use in reiki. After that you will be lying comfortably on a massage table, fully clothed and relaxed. I will place my hands gently on or above your body in a series of hand positions. The whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms. A full treatment usually takes 1 hour with each position held for several minutes.

Sometimes a release of emotions can occur and tears will flow. Reiki will work in whatever way the client needs it most. Each person is different and we have our own unique way to experience reiki.
Reiki is an energy healing therapy that balances the chakras and the energy in your body unlocking any blocks we could have from stress, difficult situations or bad life experiences. The energy goes to whatever part of your body needs it the most. This energy is accumulative and you will feel better every time you have a reiki session.
A healing response is a healthy sign that the toxins in the body are being released. With the release of toxics there may be slight side effects, which usually last for about three days. It is quite important to drink plenty of water. Sometimes there is an acceleration of the condition following a treatment, and this is a positive sign that the energy is working through the system.
How often you have a reiki session is up to yourself, you will learn to listen to your body and be more aware of your body needs. Some people have 1 session a week for the first month and then once a month.
After the Reiki session you will feel relaxed, energized and at peace. It is a gift to your body and soul. And, the best? All the wonderful benefits of reiki will grow session after session.
